I began my practice into Holistic health in 2007, when I started my Massage Therapy program. I was always interested in the body and optimal health, as well as making a difference to others in my community. Massage Therapy allows me to truly connect with the body and become aware of processes occurring within. Since then I have learned Craniosacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional release, which is another style of therapy that dives into the deepest tissues in the body and has a much more emotional and psychospiritual connection. This combination is very effective to achieving balance in the body, mind and spirit.
In 2012 I travelled to Peru to learn Ashtanga Yoga and Peruvian Shamanism, fusing the teachings I already had received with movement and perception. Learning about how to connect with the universal mind and spirit, really made me realize that we are in total control of our world. Our perceptions and outlooks on our lives reflect our own energy, vitality and health. This was a great piece to the puzzle and I will forever be a student on this path. Learning yoga was very similar to massage. Focus being on strength, flexibility, body awareness and alignment was key. In taking this training, I am able to assist my clients on and off the table to correct imbalances structurally in the body.
After returning from Peru, I began my educational journey into CranioSacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Release Therapy. This is a very gentle practice that is focused around bolstering and supporting the Central Nervous System. This form of therapy can help with many different conditions including chronic pain, concussion, insomnia, anxiety, high stress, headaches/migraines and more.
Then in 2013, I was accepted into Holistic Nutrition schooling, and I found that it was a very integrative piece in the puzzle of Holistic Health. Learning about the effects that food has on the body and how it can change every aspect of you including your physical body, emotional body and spiritual body was a very mind opening experience for me.
I desire to dedicate myself to my own wellbeing so I can assist your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. Like minded individuals, contributing to a global community of health, will help this movement ripple forward. I am excited to teach you, so that you can teach your family, children, friends and coworkers what you have learned. This way of life can grow further than just my office, and I am intrigued to see how these shifts contribute to a healthier, happier society!
