Mallory Yawnghwe, is a Nehiyaw Iskwew from the Saddle Lake Cree Nation in North Eastern Alberta. A recent Commerce graduate, aspiring social entrepreneur and owner of Nitanis Consulting, Mallory works toward elevating her career in the field of Supply Chain Management through passion projects and professional experiences.
Mallory is a perfectionist, sometimes, self-admittedly, to a fault, but she thrives on challenge and is driven to overcome her fear of the unknown to make a difference in this world. She describes the pre-colonization Turtle Island trade roots as “the original supply chain”, and dreams of seeing Indigenous trade and business of all forms flourish.
Currently, Mallory facilitates an introductory course on Indigenous experience for Government of Alberta employees.
The course works towards breaking down myths and misconceptions about Indigenous peoples. Mallory shares from her experience as a Nehiyaw woman navigating through multiple worlds: in education, business, and her family’s home community.
During her Bachelor of Commerce undergraduate studies, Mallory discovered a love for business and entrepreneurship. In 2018, she completed her undergraduate Degree from MacEwan University, graduating with a major in Supply Chain Management. With an interest in inter-provincial trade, Mallory chose to focus her career in public Procurement and currently works as a Project Procurement Specialist with Alberta Infrastructure.
Mallory is currently working towards acquiring her professional designation and has her sights set on completing an MBA in Social Enterprise Leadership in the near future. She loves gardening, spending time outdoors and practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with her daughters and husband.

"Mallory has been a huge asset to the beginnings of Mountain Avens Holistics. She guided me through my options in funding, and created a very well thought out and professional business plan to highlight the intentions of the business, as well as assist with market research and statistics in the area. I am pleased to have her as a part of our team!"
